Effective April 14, 2008, BreastCare will be providing limited services through June 30 due to an increase in demand for services, an increase in the cost of services and flat revenues from tobacco excise taxes. Women will not be able to enroll or re-enroll in BreastCare until after July 1, 2008.
This will not affect symptomatic or newly diagnosed clients. Their appointments will be scheduled as usual.
Women who currently have appointments scheduled before July, 2008, should keep those appointments. If a woman has already had her clinical breast exam and/or Pap smear, her mammogram appointment can be scheduled prior to July, 2008.
