Qualifying
BreastCare is an Arkansas program for Arkansas women funded with state and federal funds. You may be eligible for a free mammogram and Pap test or other follow-up procedures if you:
- are age 40 or older
- do not have health insurance
(including Medicaid or Medicare) or your insurance does not cover these procedures - meet income eligibility requirements
- are a resident of Arkansas
It’s easy to find out if you are eligible for Arkansas BreastCare services. Just call the BreastCare toll-free hotline 1‑877‑670‑CARE (2273). Arkansas’ BreastCare hotline is answered here in Arkansas, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. When you call, one of our representatives will give you the name of participating BreastCare providers in your area and even make the appointment for you. Free BreastCare services are offered by healthcare providers all over Arkansas, so chances are there’s one near you.

If you qualify for FREE BreastCare services, we will enroll you over the phone and mail you your personal ID card along with complete information on the BreastCare program. Once you're registered, the BreastCare staff will make you an appointment with the BreastCare provider you select for a clinical breast exam and Pap test and pelvic exam if needed. After this visit, an appointment will be made for you to get a FREE mammogram.
